    Soom Duo is a collection featuring two lamp-sculptures: Soom Ash (ash veneer) and Soom Hanji (traditional Korean paper). Both pieces combine the functionality and poetry of lighting, utilizing the same craftsmanship techniques to transform two distinct but related materials—wood veneer and paper. The design examines the interplay of similarities and differences between the materials, likening them to siblings sharing a common origin. Through the application of identical processing methods and roles, the project accentuates the unique characteristics and outcomes of each material.

    The Hague-based (Netherlands) object designer Hun Lee creates works by reinterpreting the inherent characteristics and narratives of materials and production processes. His goal is to redefine how objects function within the contexts of society and culture.
