ABOUT THE GALLERY

  • the thing Gallery is a curated platform for collectibles, art pieces, and unique objects. It was founded by Anton Rahlwes and Nina Sieverding as a companion to their digital magazine, the thing Magazine.

  • The idea for the gallery arose during studio visits conducted for the thing Magazine. Many independent artists and designers create small series or unique pieces but often struggle to distribute or sell their work. We saw an opportunity: on one hand, to create a platform that showcases the incredible work of these creatives and provides them with a source of income; and on the other, to use the thing Gallery as a way to support the independence of the thing Magazine by providing a secondary revenue stream.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

  • Shipping times vary depending on the product. Some items are made to order, while others are in stock. You can find this information on the product page under “Important Information.”

  • Shipping is calculated at checkout. Standard shipping is the default option. If you require quicker delivery, please contact us via contact@thethinggallery.com. Please note, we are a gallery, not an express service.

  • Our core market is the EU. However, we offer shipping to some other countries. You can check our shipping details in the footer. If your country is not listed, please contact us via contact@thethinggallery.com.

  • Once your order is shipped, we will provide a tracking link.

ORDERS AND PAYMENTS

  • We do not offer discounts, as we believe in honoring the value of time, creativity, and resources used by the independent artists we collaborate with.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

  • For EU customers, non-limited artist pieces come with a 2-week right to withdrawal, as required by law. However, we do not cover return shipping costs. Please consider your purchase carefully, as many products are made to order and represent a significant investment for independent artists. Limited and unique art pieces are excluded from this right, and this is clearly stated on the product pages. For more details, please refer to our General Terms and Conditions in the footer.

  • To return an item, please contact us immediately at contact@thethinggallery.com using the template provided in the General Terms and Conditions. You can find more detailed return instructions there. Note: We only accept returns for unused products that are undamaged and in their original condition.

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

  • If you notice any visible damage to the parcel upon delivery, please take photos and contact us immediately. Once you sign for the parcel, you assume legal responsibility for the product. If you receive a damaged or defective item, we will assist you in resolving the issue.

  • We do not offer exchanges. If you're unsure about a product, please reach out to us before placing your order.
