Form No. 1 by Nikolas Iturralde & Miriam Lellek
As a couple, we’ve worked side by side for years—this bag is where our approaches intersect. Miriam creates high quality leather pieces; Nikolas is known for bold graphic patterns which he translates into ceramics. For this bag, we translated these shapes into a functional and wearable object – Form No. 1 is an open series of a shared language in shape and craft.
Nikolas Iturralde is a Berlin-based ceramic artist and graphic designer. Born in Ecuador, his work ranges from functional art objects to sculptures and calligraphy, drawing inspiration from Latin American iconography and pop culture. His current focus is on ornamentation and patterns, featuring recurring motifs like fire, flames, and spikes, creating eclectic and extroverted objects.
Miriam Lellek is a Berlin-based designer with a background in fashion and design history. She creates unique bags and accessories, focusing on high-quality craftsmanship and durable materials. Primarily working with leftover or deadstock leather, Miriam finds innovative ways to use every piece, even incorporating smaller fragments to reduce waste. Her designs are contemporary, functional, and made for everyday use.
The bag is crafted from leftover or deadstock leather. Available sizes and colors depend on the materials currently in stock. It features a zip closure and is entirely handmade in Berlin. Additional techniques, such as laser cutting, may be introduced in the future. As the production relies on leftover materials, availability is limited accordingly. This bag is uniquely made.
