This piece was created around the concept of building a miniature property. As cities become increasingly crowded and property prices soar, designer Soyoun Kim envisioned a miniature building as a personal sanctuary. The lamp can be seen as a three-level apartment, filled with light and defined by an open floor plan. Curtain House Lamp consists of two key components: a stainless steel frame and vegan leather curtains. Together, they create an object that harmoniously blends playful charm with sculptural elegance.

Soyoun Kim is a storyteller and speculative designer currently based in The Hague, Netherlands. Kim studied Spatial Design in South Korea and further developed his studies through an MA in Contextual Design at Design Academy Eindhoven. In his design practice, he explores personal and social topics using multidisciplinary communication approaches such as object-making, digital visualization, and curation.
